The short answer is likely to be that you use waves to get on foil, small wind bumps, but waves regardless.
Longer answer:
a hydrofoil that can fly at sub-planing speeds, then it’s stupid to focus board-design on achieving planing speeds, so therefore there is obvious room for improvement.
